  Dry humor is not bad and it most definetly is funny. It's not for people without enough brain power like the other answerer though. It's Bevis and Butthead for those guys. Most humor that adults enjoy, the ones that score over a thousand on their SAT's like dry homor. Most political humor is dry. Jerry Seinfeld used mostly dry humor in his stand up routiens.

  A Cowboy And His Bible
  The devout cowboy lost his favorite Bible while he was mending fences out on the range.
  
  Three weeks later, a cow walked up to him carrying the Bible in its mouth. The cowboy couldn't believe his eyes. He took the precious book out of the cow's mouth, raised his eyes heavenward and exclaimed, "It's a miracle!"
  
  "Not really," said the cow. "Your name is written inside the cover."

  It's hard to define. But the best way I found is this:
  
  Dry humor: marked by matter-of-fact (or indifferent in manner), ironic, sarcastic, or terse manner of expression.
  
  It could be a bad thing for some. Personally, I like that kind of humor.

  James Brown - I have just re-read DCMS last post and I can't understand why you would respond that way. He makes a very reasonable point

  He is assuming I have an agenda.

  He is assuming that I am trying to ridicule science.

  I am not.

  I am just posting facts.

  I responded to the heading topic.

  Is science absolute truth.

  I say, said it is until it isnt, an absolute truth.

  Its not rocket science.

  The fact that science corrects itself is an obvious given.

  and is also reflected in my saying it is an absolute truth until it is not.

  And anyways its just my opinion.

  Some days science says milk is good, some days they say milk is bad.

  Some days they say beef/meat is good, some days they say it is bad.

  Some days butter is good some days, butter is bad.

  Some days vitamins are good some days they are bad.

  Some days cholesterol is good some days it is bad.

  Some days the atkinson diet is good some days it is bad.

  Something is good until it is not, is a common life phrase in the working world.

  Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

  It sounds like you have an agenda.

  I am just posting to the topic.

  Your comment and observation is so obvious and painful about my comment that it is obvious that you have

  some sort of agenda.

  How much time/ money do you spend to look nice?

  I go to the gym 4 times a week and play soccer once or twice.

  It makes me look nice, but more importantly,

  It keeps me healthy.

  it keeps my blood pressure, cholesterol and weight down.

  When I worked, I was in law enforcement, so I didnt have to spend money on clothes.

  They gave me a uniform.

  Now that I am retired I spend most of my time around the pool.

  Or playing soccer.

  It doesnt take much clothes for that.

  It will answer many of your questions from various perspetives.

  Then you can choose your poison.
